Fuji My X-Pro2 Review

With no person, colour all day long!

Here’s a shot from a different place (that I only just discovered actually) and the x-pro2

That would work in mono, but no way IMO should this not be in colour!

I was waiting for someone to walk down the path, I got bored and it was wet!

I enjoyed reading as always but will agree that the cafe shot should be color. I really like the last one even without anyone walking down the path.

Thanks Mike,

The last one I’m quite pleased with, I’m SO going back there again (and again) a lot of stairs to get to and from it though

If a pigeon can, I can . . .
Nice photo, nice article. Porto looks like a nice place to live in . . .

Thank you very much, Porto's lovely and I enjoy writing about the things I see here

Yep they are steep, wow.

Plaatje, the bloody pigeon can fly up them if his legs get tired

Those steps actually lead to more steps, but they're a bit more gentle

Very interesting article Adam, that has to be a design flaw of major proportions! I have difficulty in understanding why Fujifilm makes some superb cameras and at the same time lumbers their equipment with some god awful design decisions, such as the fiasco with the eyecups. If memory serves me well the X-T1 also had eyecup problems!
Naff action by some aperture rings having wishy washy actions is another idiotic design blooper.
I personally experienced X-T1 eyecups dislodging, But not coming off, which was easily fixed with two little clips added to the eyecups when the X-T2 was introduced!

The XP2 design and parts haven’t changed (with the repaired eyecups), I think that the glue is different and/or there’s more of it.

Fuji were very open with me about the fix when I discussed it face to face with them, but didn’t explain precisely the measures they’d taken to ensure the eyesups would stay put

Very well done as usual, Adam. I was fortunate in that I never had an issue with the eye cup when I was shooting the X-Pro2.

I am constantly missing having a X-Pro2. Even in times like yesterday when I flipped the rear LCD down on the X-T2 to take an overhead shot. While the X-T2 proves to be a better tool for how I work. The Pro2 has that magical intangible something which makes it so wonderful to shoot with.

Thanks Bobby,

The XP range is quite a classic design I think, that has a shape/size and dials/knobs that we’re used to having on all sorts of cameras

Nice read about the losing eyecups. The interesting photo's about the "old" and the "new" version, were they supplied by Fuji?
