GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

Just ordered a used Fuji 18mm f2 lens. The Neewer 35mm is on eBay now. I decided MF is too much hassle if I'm shooting digital!

Good on you!

The bad part about the Holidays is the constant barrage of consumerism in the form of sales! sales! sales! I'm just about exhausted fighting the urge to get a Rokinon 12/2 or 16/2 for Fuji X mount with the discounts bandied in my news feeds. Last night I literally was awake for half an hour talking myself into being really practical about - like what the heck will I shoot where I'm going to take the time to MF? I'm a walkabout guy - shoot, move, shoot. Ugh.

I had a Samyang 12/2 (same as the Rokinon) for my Sony a6000. Very nice lens but so wide. I couldn't find many situations where it was actually useful. And the MF was a nuisance - the focussing ring was a bit stiff.

I've been looking for the perfect sling/backpack for my mirrorless gear or small DSLR kit(think Nikon Df and some primes).

I had one bag I liked the design and layout, but it was not expensive and it showed as within one year of use it was falling apart.

Black Friday deal at Midwest Photo Exchange got me into a

I've only had it out in the field twice now, but love everything about it. One of my main struggles with sling bags is the way it fatigues my shoulder. the strap on this bag is very wide and I experienced no fatigue at all. So far so good

I used to say that too until I REALLY got into manual focus lenses.

Now I've got:
Zhongyi Speedmaster 25mm f/0.95 in MFT
Nikon 55mm f/3.5 Macro
Nikon 105mm f/2.5 AI
Nikon 135mm f/3.5
Nikon 180mm f/2.8 ED AI
Nikon 200mm f/4
Nikon 300mm f/4.5 AI

and use all the nikons on MFT with a Fotodiox adapter and on my Df. So tasty!! :D

On Cyber Monday I ordered an Olympus 25mm f/1.2 PRO prime from Dell's website. Normal price: $1199. Cyber Monday price: $999. Price after discount from TopCashBack.com (of which Dell is a member): $789.

EDIT: As an aside, this deal is the only way I would have purchased this lens. I'm sure it will be great. But I'm not 100 percent sure I want to go down the uber-prime path. This one will get plenty of use. The jury is still out on whether I would ever get the 17mm and 45mm f/1.2 PROs.

I really do not like hanging stuff on my cameras. However, a couple of slippery near misses picking up my Leica M-E prompted me to go searching for a grip. The OEM grips were just too much money but I was very fortunate to find these fine products - MD-Grip® | Photo Equip
Incredibly well designed and made and super easy folks to deal with. The rubber grip material all but matches the gray body color. :)

Long story short, after careful consideration of my files - I've come to the (unreasonable?) conclusion that I cannot shoot with anything less than an APS-C. Then this fell into my lap, figuratively. If I pop off the EVF, it's extremely pocketable. Even with the EVF on, which I prefer, it's still a small camera that will shoot easily into ISO 6400 in RAW and I don't have to sweat the noise reduction. So be it.

Won a Panasonic Lumix G 25mm F1.7 ASPH H-H-025E on eBay today for AU$165 (US$127) delivered. This is the first in a series of lens I am hoping to acquire as a remodelled my lens collection. Still would like a Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm / F1.4 ASPH but this will at least give me an opportunity to confirm I like the focal lenght.

I also hope it was at least as good an option as getting the Olympus 25mm F/1.8 to use on my Olympus bodies.

The little 22 is no joke either.
Which version body? I had the one and it was really fun to use.
The grip and the EVF make it look a lot more user friendly.
