Need a carry camera

I'm looking for a pocket camera The Panasonic line seems good. I have ruled out the GR , lack of tilt LCD. At the moment Canon and Panasonic seem to be my choices.

I have the Panasonic FT7 on pre-order. The only rugged camera with an EVF. Small sensor, 28-128mm (e), small sensor, slow lens, waterproof, dustproof, no raw, and it will fit in most pockets. (I wanted the "survive anything" pocket camera.

Cheers, Jock

I had an Olympus TG 810, unfortunately the sensor developped oil spots out of warranty.
I switched to a Fuji XP200 which is ok for underwater shots and I take it with me when I know I will go to the beach.
Otherwise I am carrying a Canon Powershot SX220HS. There is a way to get it to shoot raw which is sometimes useful.
I found that that generation of Powershot achieved the perfect balance for everyday portability, controls, zoom and image quality.
It is not perfect but I know the trade-offs I am making.

Canon GX7ii or the Panasonic Gx8 or 9. Might even entertain the GX85. Different animals I know but as longs as it has a flip LCD (bad Back ) I can live with it. There are so many out there, It's hard to choose. Gonna have to try a few out.

Yes I can understand how difficult it is to chose one from these 3.
I have a Nikon 1 V1 which seems to be similar in size.
It tends to stay at home as when I need portability I take my Canon Powershot or my Sony Alpha 5000, when I need an all rounder I take my Nikon DSLR or the Sony A5000, when I need underwater fun pix I take my Fuji XP200 and when I want nice daytime pictures of landscape I use my Bronica ETRSi.

Not exactly what I would call pocket cameras though ?

I do not like cell phones. I will never use one as a camera. The end.

Sorry to hear that. They keep getting better and better

Not saying they are a replacement yet for a good ILC, but many of them are quite capable and mine is always with me.
