They're what's left of the old brickworks at Stewartby. I'm told that 50 years ago and more, there were dozens of chimneys in this area - these are all that remain. The area is being "re-forested" despite lots of new housing.
The images from this lens continue to impress. I am inventing ways to justify it's purchase. I said I wouldn't spend a thousand on a lens, but I got damn close with the 16. Maybe a 90 and some tubes instead of the 60.
@Tim Williams If you don't mind used gear, the 90mm can be had for around $700 or less on FredMiranda's for sale section. I picked up one for $675 which included the shipping and PayPal fee. Also, from what my dad tells me, the 90mm does very well with the extension tubes.
Thanks, Bobby. I have only bought one piece of gear that was new (D300) when they were 1800.00. Now I can buy them all day for 150.00. I still shoot that thing and it does a good job so I'm waiting another year before I do a Fuji upgrade from my XT1. Until then I will do as the saying goes " Invest in Lens ". Lens are personal, they don't have to be pretty, they just have to treat me right.. I never part with one that works for me.
