Fuji Gotta tell somebody.

Please may I enter this club?
There are two separate clubs forming, the X100 jpeg club and the X100 raw club. You MUST decide which to join!

OK, kidding - its just that jpegs are actually a good option with this camera, even for some died in the wool raw shooters! CONGRATULATIONS! For all of its little quirks, this camera is just a stone blast to shoot with. Have fun!

Bill, congrats on your new camera. Your already a member of the club. One thinks the X100 before they actually get it.

As for the understanding from your true love, I am always in a very similar place.... no help from me....

Bill, :yahoo: I'm so surprised and very happy for your new addition! See what you think of her, not your wife - the camera, and if you do fall for the X100 I bet you'll find some counter weights to jettison. Again - not your beloved wife, but another camera.;)

Hey, Bill. Congratulations on your new x100. You are most certainly welcome in "JPEGland" and "RAWland" simultaneously. Personally I find myself crossing back and forth across town lines all the time.
I think you will really find the X100 quite the imaging tool. Good luck.

Look Bill, my town is celebrating your X100 acquisition!:drinks: :D

Thanks David. It was a very poorly exposed picture but I was determined to do something with it...ultimately I think it's a bit intense, but kind of liked it with the Australian flag in color. Did it w/o selective color to - which I put on Flickr to compare.

Well it arrived on Wednesday but I was in hospital (see here). By Thursday I weakened and asked my lovely wife to visit me and since she was coming in to bring the camera. :) It came with a charged battery and 4GB card so was able to have a play - very impressed - love the VF and the solid feel. Now at home I'm still familiarising myself but hope to get out and about a bit more this week coming. There's gotta be a better option than a friction fit lens cap or an expensive hood.
