Be Strong!

I lifted with friends of Bob Hoffman in '64 - watched Jim George and Chuck Vinci try out for the '64 Olympic team, but unlike previous years I don't think they made it. Jim was smoking - so bad - and he said he couldn't make more than $2/hour in dentistry, so he opened a restaurant (funny story there). Anyway, years later he returned to dentistry and the new wave of restorations, and made a fortune. Chuck pressed 250 lbs (we did lbs in our gym in '64) when he weighed 123, which was something to see. Then the Olympic Committee killed the Press, leaving only the Snatch and Clean & Jerk. The best I ever did was press 120 when I weighed 118.

OMG !!! :) I want one of these guys traveling in my car to help lift the car if a tire gets punctured :)
PS I had never seen this "ball lifting" thing. Is it traditional / specific of a given region / culture ?
