This one's shiny, so I think most people will be happy.

How this is played? Each member gets one guess. The answer will be revealed on the following Tuesday. The first correct guess has the honour of submitting the image for the next challenge. Sometimes there will be more than one thing in the photo or more than one way to accurately describe what the photo represents. The original poster will be the final judge of who is "most correct".

What Is It Wednesday - Week 26

Oh dear, my wife's gonna kill me if she ever finds out that I didn't get this...
Can't think of anything produced in Holland from the Finnish designer masters right now, but wild guess, some sort of lamp, because can't point out any chair that this would fit.

Somehow I knew when I shedded some LIGHT on the subject, someone would pick it up. And seeing the nationality of the designer, it's no surprise that Matero did it again...

This is the Raak Fuga, a wall lamp / sconce designed by the Finnish architect / industrial designer Maija Liisa Komulainen for the Dutch company Raak. The shape is based on organ pipes.

Whooa! My reputation, and life, sustained :)

Very nice and interesting. I've never heard of her, I first thought, but it was interesting to quickly browse the story of her career. And then I recognized another lamp of her "Cantharel", which remember seeing. You'll never stop learning, do you.

I'll think of something and come back!

I've heard the name, but wouldn't have been able to tell her profession. Shame on me! Anyway, that's one strange looking lamp. Does that decorate your own wall?

It must be the long dark winters, but there sure are a lot of beautiful lighting fixtures designed in your part of the world.
Luke, I think you're right :)

I have one treasure on my desk, very beautiful, but starting to also show it years, too. Last time I checked the value, so high I can't even say it. I wouldn't buy that expensive lamp, no way. But this was collected from the dumpster 40 years ago. Luckily it has survived numerous moves and I still got it.
