Not a lot of action on the M forum. Too bad. Great camera. The EOS M Flickr group has some of the best images on the web.

I bought one when they were giving them away. Sold it and then bought another new one after I realized that the IQ was simply amazing for the price.

If anyone is curious, I would love to answer any questions about the system.

Those last two posts say so much. I had an M as well and loved it with the 22, but in the end I just didn't get enough use out of a "wide-ish" compact, and it's not much of an ILC without the L.

I tried to re-buy one, but B&H sent me one missing some parts, lol. So, I might join back again. We shall see.

One of the things I really like about the M is the ability to get a quick shot. It is my "armrest camera" in the car. If I see something interesting, I grab the M, push the on button, jump out of the car, point, touch the screen where I want it to focus and click, I get the shot. I leave the camera in P mode, continuous shot, review off and touch screen shutter release on. The AF is optimized for touch screen release and as such, there is no noticeable delay. When in continuous mode, there is little to no screen "blackout". I am always amazed at how often the M gets the focus correct, even in low light when I am in this mode. OF course, I shoot in JPEG almost exclusively and the color is superb with lot's of detail, even at ISO 3200.

Here's an example of a shot I got in about 5 seconds from when I jumped out of the car to when I jumped backed in:

I did. Also very nice. I just always found myself taking the E-Pm2/E-M5. I always found that you could pull quite a bit from the raw files of the M in PS. In the end I just decided to prune back my kit and I sold the M to pay for a refurb Oly 75.

I had the E-PM2 as well. A fine camera, well constructed. Very nice looking. Sold it for no other reason than I had decided to move on from the Micro 4/3 system. My personal preference nowadays is to use APS-C sensor cameras with sharp kit lenses. The Oly kit lenses are not very sharp, I found. I'm afraid that for my purposes, one good prime and a sharp kit lens suits my needs for 95% of time. The 18-55mm EF-M is as sharp as any kit lens produced and amazingly, the 22mm/2.8 EF-M is about the sharpest prime for under $1000 (more or less, according to DxoMark scoring). One should have an M if for no other reason than to experience those great lenses.

Anyhoo... here's some pics.

Does anyone has the 11-22mm and how would you rate it ? I'm looking for a smaller and lighter alternative to my sigma 8-16mm for travelling.

I've just received my 11-22 EOS-M lens. Beautiful sharp wide angle lens. I use it for street and scenic shooting. As an alternative to your 8-16, it is perfect.
