ALEXCA, take a look at the Olympus OM-D E-M10. I realize it's more expensive than what you'd like to pay, but it's a lot of camera for the money, with all the features you want....and then some. With kit lens, it costs $150 more than the J4, is available now, and is part of the Panasonic/Olympus micro 4/3 system.....probably the best and most complete compact system currently available.
The E-M10 has a larger sensor(micro 4/3) than the Nikon 1 series, built in evf, tilting touch screen, built in wi-fi, twin control dials, focus peaking, pop-up flash w/wireless flash control ability, and in-camera image stabilization. In addition, and perhaps most important, a wide variety of lenses, in all price ranges, are available. These include a large array of quality primes; and zooms, from typical amateur, to pro quality.
As stated earlier in this thread, I have the mini DSLR like G6, which I like a lot. It is also part of the micro 4/3 system. B&H had it last year for $498 with the new kit lens from Panasonic. For that price, I couldn't resist. If the E-M10 was available at the time, however, I might have bought it instead.
Good luck with your search!
