Where do we all live - a Poll

As I sit down at my computer with my morning coffee and a slab of chocolate checking my finances, (I'm retired - it's not easy, maybe I should ask for contributions like that Ken Rockwell "guy" of equipment review fame?), my grey cells start to "fire up"

If it has not been done before it would be nice to know where we all live or are situated - just a "bit of fun" which we all need "over here" in this grey, (gray to the US), winter

This thread is suppose to be a "Poll" but I may fail in execution so Luke may have to step in and help

I will attempt to list countries, or regions - but will clearly leave some out which I hope can be added as we go along

Just would be interesting to know how far the SC worldwide community extends

Hope you are all happy with it and no one is offended by my question

I live in France - but I'm a Brit - so I have ticked La Belle Vie, (depends on your point of Vue)

I live in the United Kingdom of Nowhere, maaaaaaaaaan ...

Is that the Beatles - "Nowhere Man" ………….. please listen, take your time etc.,

great song, brings back memories - play it - it will brighten up you morning!!

a Utube song is always nice to embed - appropriate as I'm listening to Ken Bruce - The Pop Quiz master for you non-Brits and (Polly)

The UK national Anthem - I think not

scoundrels

I'm Scottish, but I live in Germany. Will be interesting to see the poll results when a few hundred answers are in ...

This is just a starter, as you say interesting, see how it develops, when you place your vote mention the country if it is not there and maybe a change could be made.
You never know how useful the info may be

I am not a nationalist nor am I offended, but "Other - EU" is a bit too broad for me. So no vote yet. :)
Nice initiative.

Peter - I indicted that this was "work in progress" and could be developed - I'll try to add, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, The Ukraine, Latvia, etc., ………. or maybe we should just forget about it judging by the comments so far.

I do not seem to be able to add countries to the Poll.

Coffee now drunk and chocolate consumed so maybe it's not such a good idea - must be the caffeine

Maybe it's time to say "Goodbye" to the Poll

or maybe not as the US will be online soon!

I,m over to the watch forum to annoy those guys and discuss Kevin Pieterson, (Cricket again!)!

I realise we cannot discuss it but its nice to have a choice & not feel like you are taken for granted.

I know I also missed Eire and N Ireland and have probably upset the Welsh and I'm not happy as I'm from Yorkshire.

I have a Basque representative knocking on my door and a Transylvanian monk has just sent me an email

All in good fun

this evenings curry that my wife is cooking smells good!!!

The poll itself can not be edited or amended in any way that I can see. So people can feel free to vote for whatever seems "closest" to their heart, or as Bill cheekily suggests......just check 'em all.

I live in the USA only because it is where I was born. If it were by choice, I think I would live on some deserted island, but only after I could set-up a reliable wireless network.

If I'd known I could vote for more than one, I'd have chose the US - lived here all my life - and the Arctic Region, because the Arctic has been visiting the northeast and midwest US with amazing regularity this winter so far. It's either been brutally cold or snowing or freezing raining pretty much since the new year. I think we've maybe had 4-5 nice winter days where it's cold, but you can easily spend a chunk of the day outdoors, this year. My wife is a teacher and they've been working through the cold (the heating the school buildings has held up well enough) but this week she missed Monday and Tuesday morning due to snow, taught for a few hours Tuesday afternoon, then was off yesterday for ice and today (and likely tomorrow) because the majority of our county is without power after yesterday's ice. We're expecting another dose of snow this weekend, but hopefully not enough to close the schools any further. And we haven't even had a big dump of snow this winter, just a few of them in the 8-12" range, but we'll probably get a good 20-24" dump before the winter's over...
