Pentax Pentax K50/500

K-50 is the same as K-30, only with a different design. I tried the K-30 and it was probably the best entry-level DSLR at the time: it has a very good viewfinder, great ergonomics with 2 command dials, splash-protected body and its image quality is very similar to flagship Pentax cameras.

In other words, I believe Pentax K-50 is an excellent camera.

I second this. I have both the K-5 and the K-30 - both solid cameras with great image quality.

I have the k-30, it really is excellent. Great ergonomics, really good features, especially the viewfinder and with the wr lens you have that extra confidence to take it anywhere. The k-50 is basically a refresh of the k-30 and so I think it is probably the best bang for buck of lower mid level dslr.
