I had a Fiat 126 (which was the successor) in the UK in the 1980s. Sadly, the UK climate and Fiat steel/paint didn't happily co-exist. It literally dissolved into a scabby mess after a few years. Good fun to drive though - I always enjoyed thrashing an underpowered engine to within an inch of its life. Full-throttle everywhere was the only way.
the joke when I was a youngster was that FIAT was an acronym for Fix It Again, Tony. I'd love to have one of those old beauties.
Here's the original 'Topolino', taken in the Automuseum in Dortmund.
Spotted this one in a secondhand shop at Salo, Lake Garda in Italy last summer. They also had a white Alfa Romeo Spyder and a red Lancia Fulvia there

And this one was a few years ago, again in italy but this time at Valentino Rossi's home town of Tavulia. It's a permanent feature outside the cafe where he goes when he's back home
