I was mistaken - Henry has 4 bars. Three of them are right in a row and register to me as one establishment, because when we go out we go somewhere that serves craft beer, and the only craft beer in Henry is one that has been bought up by one of the "big boys" and therefore no longer counts for my husband, so I've never actually had a drink in any of them. Anyway, there's a new neon sign in town! At the VFW.

This is a stretch, but imagine me in a dark room looking at photos I took earlier today :) I promise to make some lower light images in the remaining days of the month, I've been slacking in my nocturne efforts.

It has been a while since I last used the 7.5mm fisheye, works so well on E-M5 (when i keep my fingers out of the frame -- of course).

Tsk.

I started this challenge, and I have yet to contribute! In my defence, so far this month I have married, honeymooned and spent time trying to catch up at work. Oh, and we have a new kitten, "Barnack" (of which more later and elsewhere) who keeps us on our toes.

So. Enough with the excuses. We honeymooned in Rome - highly recommended. I was NOT there to take photos, but...

So.

This caught my eye. Spooky in a way only empty fairground rides (and clowns) can be...

Love the photo! I rode the merry-go-round until I was in high school and people started giving me weird looks!
Congratulations! A new wife AND a new kitten - what bliss!

But now I understand your diabolical plan. Give us a difficult challenge to obsess over so we won't have the free attention to notice your absence in the thread!

Nice use of a fisheye! I have a fisheye setting on the new Powershot and having never had a fisheye I haven't envisioned it enough to experiment much. This is inspiring! I like the sunburst in the leaf, too!

I'm wrapping my mind around the "dark room" concept.... wrapping... wrapping... I'll get there, yes I will! :)

Vulture and Bees

Taken the other day or rather, at the end of a long day, inside a cavernous building where a holiday ceramics/pottery show was in full swing. But as the day came to an end, the potters and artists seemed tired. But this particular bird didn't seem tired at all - but, rather, totally engrossed with the insects that hovered inches from his balding head and beady eye -
