Day 24 - Golden October

Colors....and colors

Well, I've got two entries for Day 24. The first has some gold in it, in honor of Golden October, but it's not the standard fall or autumn colors that seem to be everywhere here in Southern Oregon. Instead, it's bright moss - growing on a volcanic rock - at 'Fort Rock', over in Central Oregon where both the weather and the landscapes seem harsher, more extreme.

The second - and I couldn't resist - is a small mound of brightly-colored discarded bottles and cans, at Summer Lake, also in Central Oregon, taken on a bracingly cold, clear and sunny high desert morning.

Guess what we discovered outside this morning.

The setting sun, was shinning through the pebble finish door glass. I focused on the glass, from inside the house, looking out.The gold look, is exactly what I saw, but only lasted a short while, and was gone as the sun fully set.
