Very nice Dan. I particularly like the Radio City shot (tripod to get that motion blur?) and the old soldier shots. Its quickly become one of my favorite cameras - not my favorite street camera specifically, but it does fine on the street and is such a good all-around camera...

Thanks Ray. The Radio City shot is hand held. :)

Thanks Ray. The Radio City shot is hand held. :)

Pretty impressive! I've done some very slow handheld exposures to get pretty radical motion blur with my OMD and its space age image stabilization. But you must be close to a half second on that shot and the RX1 isn't stabilized at all - so there must be some skill involved. What a novel concept!

Visited "The Cloisters" in Fort Tryon Park

The Cloisters are a branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art preserving medieval Christian art from Europe.

Not to every taste, but interesting I think. These were taken in the strongest setting.

Keep meaning to try this :)

I don't have an RX1 (and have never handled one), but with the RX100, this effect can be applied in-camera, to a file on the SD card. In other words, it doesn't have to be used at the time at which the shot is taken, so you can apply it retrospectively to an image. It works on Raw files too.

It might be worth checking to see whether the RX1 has the same capability.:)

Like those Cloisters shots - I got some of the beautiful grounds up there, but didn't make it inside. You're really covering the whole island Dan. Great stuff!

I think you'll get tired of those illustration and watercolor effects really quickly. Or at least apply them to the raws rather than commit the whole shot to it.
