Fuji XE-1 with 18-55mm in Bangkok

Such a colourful place and you captured some great environmental portraits :). I took my 18-55 to Greece but didn't use it once as I had the other three primes already.

I bought the zoom before the trip and whilst it is certainly a nice lens and provides some versatility I miss my primes, i.e., the RX1 and Sigma DP2/3M which I left at home. The Fuji`s IQ is overhyped as far as I`m concerned or maybe I`m just spoiled with the Sony and the two Sigmas.

That may be true, but did you not use the reach of the zoom in some of these shots? If you did, then to get equivalent images with an RX1 you would have had to crop your way into the same IQ, no?

You are absolutely right. The zoom came in very handy for these environmental portraits and whilst cropping can be an option, the angle of view one might not be able to match with simple cropping.
