Nik plugins price cut

It's even better for previous owners of one or more Nik plug-ins: price of the whole collection is zero! Just downloaded and installed; looking forward to playing with the new toys!

How is it free? Just asking because I had to put in different SN#'s for each of the plugins I think save for one.. Do you mean free update to newest version?

with this new price drop, if anyone has bought in the past, any of the single modules, they can now upgrade to the whole collection for no additional charge. That is my understanding....not sure how it works.

How it works - or worked for me - is that you get a note from Google/Nik to the e-mail address you used to register your previously purchased module(s). You click on the link and it takes you to their site where it greets you by name and provides a download button. Once the download is complete, you install; no need to enter any long string of numbers.

I sometimes forget to register my software; in this case, I've been glad I did more than once, as I've gotten free upgrades to the latest versions of Color Efex Pro and Silver Efex Pro prior to today's bonanza.

And Google taking over Nik seems like it may have been a good thing...

There are no serial numbers to remember and quite oddly the US price of $149 includes UK VAT of 20%.
I wish companies like Adobe and Symantec also include our tax in their download price.

Save even more. Use photographer William Beem's coupon code and get and extra 15%: WBEEM

Closer to home! Amin posted we have our OWN coupon code so we get the extra 15%: MU-43

Total price is then about $127.

P.S.: I completed checkout with the WBEEM coupon code and it does work.

Thanks for the info. Just downloaded it, great software and all for free. Christmas already again?

Tangent ... What games do you play?

Right now, I've got baseball fever. Otherwise it's usually a mix of different stuff, usually with a preference for anything involving a sniper rifle or a shotgun (I enjoy the extremes of close-up and far away). I also enjoy games that involve sneaking. It was almost beyond grisly, but I LOVED the most recent Hitman. I may play through the whole thing again if I burn out on baseball.

Oh man, Luke -- if you don't do "urban exploration" photography you should. You get to be sneaky in real life, lol. Urbex often necessarily involves some degree of trespass since modern trends in liability lawsuits often keep owners from granting permission. Instead of "virtual sneaking", you could do REAL sneaking, lol.

It's not as much fun when you get caught though -- you can't just restart the game!

That all being said I'm ready for some baseball. There really are only two seasons of the year here in the USA: Winter and Baseball...

I'd love to get in with a local urbex crew. I like the images and I like to practice HDR. It would be right up my alley. I'd be a little worried I'd be caught because I think I'd likely be the slowest runner....LOL.

I agree with your assessment regarding the seasons as well. I had stepped away from baseball for most of my adult years. The baseball strike (YEARS ago) really soured me and then the PEDs that ruined the records that I had memorized as a young boy just added fuel to my disdain for the modern game. But a few years ago I started to come back. Despite all the changes, it's still a beautiful game. It will never be as pure as it was meant to be, but it's still one of the best ways to waste an afternoon (I really wish there more afternoon games, like the old days).
