Micro 4/3 Walkin' the Pooch with the O15mm

I really enjoy this lens. All my images can be improved if I had observed some basic photo rules. Instead of slapping the lens on and shooting willy-nilly, keep an on your shutter and settle yourself before releasing the shutter. I shot on the move, in 'A', assuming the Auto ISO would keep my shutter speed sufficiently high ... it didn't and my images suffered from the experiment. Be that as it may, Day One with the O15mm, a daily walk with Cookie:

Happy Year Year Y'all

Gary

Hi Gary,
I assume this is the lens cap lens?Very nice.Keep this up and I'll have to buy it myself.Handsome dog there, the cute girls think so as we'll.# 6 & 7 are priceless.I like the reflection in the underpass.

Thanks David,

Yep, the Lens Cap. It is fun to use because you don't have high expectations ... so anything you get is a a pleasant surprise. I'll tell The Cook of your compliment (she needs a groom). The kids were all up in the tree (#5) and came running when they saw Cook. The kids made a fuss over her and she made a fuss over them.

Happy New Year Gary, #3 suggests she's well used to waiting for you as you stop to take photographs.

Barrie

Happy New Year, Barrie. I walk Cook, typically, without a leash. She appreciates the freedom to explore and is responsible enough to not run into the streets, she waits for me at corners to cross. When we run across a dog we don't know I leash her up. In #3 she's checking to make sure that we are following the path to see Mariposa, (her horse friend and the goats).

Nice series Gary. Really sweet dog you have - ours can't go anywhere near a street without a leash. I love the shot with the horse. And that in the tunnel. Fun little lens, no?

Fun litte lens, yes.

It makes me feel like a tourist with a disposal film camera. I've been using it without the grip, which adds to the sense of a disposal film camera. The Cook is the best dog I've ever adopted. She is an exceptional pooch from an exceptional breed (Wheaten Terrier).

Nice shots Gary. Sadly my two are not keen on kids, so i need to keep my eye on them.
The do cut my grand daughters some slack ! I wonder if they know ?

Cook is the most benign creature I have ever met. She loves everybody and every animal. She's extremely tolerant. Hell, she has befriended stray cats that we have met on our walk. Now, the cat and dog run up, touch noses, the cat rolls over on their back, The Cook will nuzzle their belly and the cat will bat Cookie with their paws. Cook is a lot of fun and very interesting to know.

Wonderful series, Gary, and not just because it's of a dog, though she seems like a sweetheart!

I might have to get this lens. For the price, and the fun one can have with it, it seems downright silly not to. And I just sold my XZ-1. That's supposed to offset the cost of the X10, but --- ya know......

Can't put a price on fun.

The Cook is absolutely wonderful, highly intelligent and communicates extremely well ... she doesn't shed and rarely barks. If someone is looking to adopt man's best friend, I recommend you look into a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

What a wonderful series Garry, The Cook is beautiful! We have 5 doggies ourselves and each has a different personality but they all love kids and are also very tolerant of newcomers to their house :)

I have the O15 as well and will have to get out and use it a bit more now you have mentioned the shutter speed idea, thanks for the tip!
